Crossrail – 17 minutes to Bond Street
Crossrail, or the now named ‘Elizabeth Line’, is a new 118-kilometre railway line and is one of Europe’s largest railway and infrastructure construction projects, which will create a new east-west route across Greater London.
Work began in 2009 and when fully operational in 2020-2021, it is set to transform the Southall area with increased investment, wide economic benefits and a projected rise in house prices. Crossrail will provide significantly faster journey times to key destinations across London such as Bond Street in only 17 minutes and Stratford in little more than half an hour.
